Folks, I have what I am considering a wonderful surprise to share with you. I do not visit the next park until tomorrow (will be three… Women’s Rights NHP in Seneca Falls, Harriet Tubman NMon in Auburn, Fort Stanwix in Rome… all in New York State… only 15 miles between the first two and 72 miles to the third, so easy to visit all three in one day), but wanted to post the below information.

Women’s World Magazine is recognizing July as the nation’s Park and Recreation Month. This designation began in 1985 for our country. The publication heard about my Quest and reached out to me for insider information on visiting the 425 parks (yes, it is now 425 since July 25). The latest hardcopy issue can be found at grocery store check-outs (I bought two copies) and other similar venues. But the publication also has an electronic issue. Here is a link to the article in the current digital version.

The publication also has a presence on Twitter with the tag… @WomansWorldUS.

Facebook and Instagram tags are… @WomansWorldMag.

A big THANK YOU to Michael Bass for the photograph you see in the digital version. I met Michael at Channel Islands National Park after kayaking in the sea caves. We were waiting for the ferry to return to the island’s dock. He forwarded me the photo the next day. This is a link to his website. Michael Bass.

I hope you can find time to read the article. There are plenty of tips to help visitors prepare and experience the parks.
